March is National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to recognize and celebrate people with disabilities as valuable, contributing members of our community and who have much to offer.

People with developmental disabilities have proven to be reliable workers and excellent volunteers, capable of meeting or exceeding expectations and standards. Thanks to organizations like Mosaic, people with disabilities are leading richer, more fulfilling lives.

Please consider using the following petitions in your prayers at worship during these upcoming weekends.

March 5

For people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, may they be embraced by communities to help them lead full, meaningful lives, Lord in your mercy,

Hear our prayer.

March 12

That legislators locally and nationally will make just decisions that uphold the dignity of people with disabilities and ensure adequate financial support, Lord in your mercy,

Hear our prayer.

March 19

That men and women of compassion will hear the call to serve and work in the field of disability services, Lord in  your mercy,

Hear our prayer.

March 26

For families of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, that we will recognize their unique needs and find ways to support them, Lord in your mercy,

Hear our prayer.
